Understanding the Economic Calendar
An economic calendar shows the date and time of key announcements, events, indicators and data releases that provide indications of the health of the U.S. economy and may, therefore, influence financial markets.
EMMA includes a link to an economic calendar provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. That third-party website may include economic events that are scheduled to occur in the future, as well as historical data. Events that have already occurred typically include a link to any data that was released, and may include a brief summary of the event.
EMMA users should be aware that there is no affiliation between the MSRB and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and that the MSRB takes no responsibility for independently verifying the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information on the third-party website.
Note: It is important to understand that many factors can affect the value of a security. Further information can be found in the MSRB Education Center.
